Chair ascertained that we all agreed previous minutes of 25/8/21 meeting. Chair intimated that Cameron was moving to Fife for work reasons but still wanted to be a co-opted member of the Trust because he intends to return to Fossoway in the future and wishes to keep abreast of developments. Chair still to check with Matthew Pease if still interested in involvement because we have not heard from him for a while.
Jim outlined the feedback from the website to our consultation and would circulate an email on that. Chair to give Jim the written notes of interest from the Fossoway Gathering.
There was agreement that we needed to build on this by a combination of requesting to address other organisations’ meetings in Fossoway regarding the Trust or advertising that we would join other meetings early to feature work of steering group to date and our ideas going forward ; all in the interest of widening interest and potential membership. Members to contact Nicola re other organisations meetings we could address. Chair undertook to investigate an initial funding source for this consultation exercise to cover advertising, printing, etc. John confirmed that we have 2 model constitutions in draft, a SICO and a company limited by guarantee, suggesting that latter model was favoured by DTA. In the absence of Ben & Alastair (who had lost broadband contact) we could not decide on this yet. Chair will speak to DTA re this and our consultation exercise.
It is suggested that 3 decisions should be made at our next meeting on Wednesday 27th October @ 7.30pm
Viz – Programme of meetings/talks; £5 per head membership could generate some early funds; SICO or Co. Ltd by Guarantee?
