The Fossoway Community Development Trust Ltd (FCDT) is in the process finalising our first Community Action Plan, Working with STAR Development Group and financial support from Perth and Kinross Council.
To date we have surveyed 855 households in the Fossoway District achieving a 36% response rate. We also spoke to our local organisations, businesses, and Fossoway Primary School. The results of this along with local statistics were presented at a community event on the 17th November in Crook of Devon Village Hall (https://www.crookofdevonvillagehall.org/) . The event attracted 122 residents who were entertained with songs from Fossoway Primary School and dancing by Dillon-Bray School of Highland Dance with local baking supplied by the Blairingone and Powmill SWI. The information was collated into a series of themes, each of which had a number of possible projects.
The findings from our community survey, stakeholders meetings and community event have now been added to our website so please have a read (see links below). Over the next couple of months we will be producing our Community Action Plan.
Currently we are partnering with the Community Council to develop our Local Place Plan. There have been a series of community meetings in Nov and final comments can be made on the draft at the Community Council meeting on the 7th Jan 2025, in Crook of Devon Village Hall starting at 7pm. This is a real opportunity for residents to engage with the development of PKC LDP3 and have your say on how our villages are developed over the 10 period starting 2027.
