Governance
Nicola Marchant
The Trust is currently reviewing our Governance and Constitution in partnership with DTAS as current filing requirements are onerous. We are considering the pros and cons of becoming a SCIO rather than a registered charity and limited company.
Theme 1 – Traffic Transport and Active Travel
Tony Lamb
The Trust now has been awarded a community bus, following a competitive bidding process. The bus was gifted by PKC, A new Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61579102942468) has been set up for the bus and we are currently gathering a list of local organisations that may wish to use the bus. To support the ongoing running of the bus users will be asked for a donation.
The bus will be available to transport people from Carnbo to the Fossoway Gathering as this route is not covered by the Glenfarg 23 service.

Project – Replacement of Village Noticeboards and Moubray Hall Survey -Nicola Marchant
The Trust has been awarded a grant from PKC CLLD for funding to replace noticeboards at Blairingone, Rumbling Bridge, Crook of Devon and for a noticeboard outside of Carnbo Hall. We have been awarded funding for a structural survey of Moubray Hall (partnering with the Moubray Hall Committee) which is a Cat C listed building. This will enable a 5yr costed maintenance plan to be produced and funding sought.
Project – CAT of Blairingone School-Marion Anness
The Trust voted to lease the school with an option to buy in the future. Next steps are to brief Sarah Kimmet and the PKC Ward Councillors and present Trust CAT proposal to Kinross-shire Committee on 15th Sept.

Project – New Bridge Over River Devon
After a series of onsite meetings, the Trust have ascertained that the best crossing point is where the previous bridge was; we have been considering the use of the Rennie Mackintosh bridge, but it may be too difficult, although we are still awaiting a costing from Kilmac. So, we are now considering a steel/ wooden ranger bridge as a possible replacement. This will be discussed at the next TRACKS meeting on 19th August. The Trust is also reviewing all documentation regarding the new bridge and will present further information to Trust members.
Project – Cycle and Footpaths Maps – Maureen Lamb
The Trust partnered with Active Dollar and Muckhart CC creating a map of cycle and footpaths in Fossoway. The Trust has 500 copies of the map and is seeking donations of £2 per map. The map will be available at the Fossoway Gathering and Powmill Milk bar.
Maureen is now working with Active Dollar and Muckhart CC on a second map.

Project – Creation of Heritage Trail and Protection of Local Heritage
The Trust intends to develop a local heritage booklet, which will include the Millenium path and also revitalise our heritage assets such as the lade in Crook of Devon. The Fossoway School has agreed to partner researching our local history. We are also partnering with Dr Phil Back who has recently completed a history of Rumbling Bridge and has gathered a wealth of local information.
We ae seeking additional volunteers to help with research and gathering local history.

Project – supporting our Village Halls and residents in reducing energy usage.
The Trust is working with the HEAT Project to conduct surveys on all of our Village Halls to identify opportunities to reduce energy usage. On completion of the surveys, it is our intention to seek funding from SSEN to pay for any retrofit work.
All Fossoway residents can contact the HEAT Project to get free impartial advice on how to make energy savings and retrofit our homes. https://fossowaytrust.com/news/free-home-energy-advice-from-the-heat-project/
