Fossoway Community Development Trust – JustGiving
Fossoway Gathering 6th September
The Trust will have its own gazebo at the Fossoway Gathering so please come along to see us. We have also created a QR code and have purchased fundraising boxes which we will be using at the Fossoway Gathering to seek donations of £2 for the Fossoway Maps and hopefully attract more members for an initial subscription of £5 which will include a copy of our Community Action Plan.
The Trust has made a grant application to Gannochy Trust to cover 12 months administration costs and marketing which unfortunately has been rejected. It is essential that we raise funds to cover our ongoing administration costs over the next two months.
Theme 1 – Traffic Transport and Active Travel
Tony Lamb
Members will like to know that the Community Bus was active during the Carnbo Hall’s 35th Anniversary celebrations and again will be out and about transporting Fossoway residents to the Gathering on 6th. Additionally, we have offered the chance of a Saturday night out at the Tillicoultry bowling Club, transporting residents to and from the venue for a small donation. Keep a watch on the Facebook page – Fossoway Community Bus | Facebook, as we shall soon be offering up opportunities to visit Errol Sunday Market, the biggest market for miles, and Edinburgh IKEA. Places on the minibus will be strictly first come first served.
We also now have a new volunteer driver in training and one other potential driver. Finally, we are pleased to announce that we have successfully registered for a network support grant that means we will receive a reimbursement of 14.4p/km travelled in our Community Bus. This will help fund the ongoing regular maintenance and insurance of the bus.
